    Default P/O Hartwell 206 Sqn

Can anyone with access to the 206 Sqn ORB look up and see if there was a P/O Hartwell (possibly Hartnell) with the unit during summer 1940. He was an airgunner. Looking for his full name or initials and his service number.

    Best Regards

My copy starts Jan 1941. Any value in me looking for your man or is that too late?

    Robert,

I'm not sure if the individual I'm interested in was still with 206 Sqn during 1941. If you could have a quick look through January and February it would be much appreciated. As per Dennis' post above seems highly likely the surname is Hartnell.

    Dennis,

Many thanks for looking through the Air Force lists, Frank Hartnell looks promising, gives me a good lead.

    Cheers

    Andy:

Looked at Jan and Feb 1941, almost illegible as they are handwritten, and didn't see anything that looked like Hartnell.

    Hallo Andy,

I know this is a bit late but I have a copy of the 206 Squadron ORB for 1940 (AIR 27/1222). I have looked through May to August 1940 and found no trace of Hartnell/Hartwell. However most of this period is in a very poor handwriting so it is possible I missed him.

    Hope you find him.

    Regards,

    Martin Gleeson.

    Hi Martin,

Many thanks for taking the time to look, it is much appreciated.

It seems that the 206 Sqn ORB is one of those that is hard to extract data from due to hard to read handwriting. As per Dennis' post Frank Hartnell would appear to be the best contender.
