    Default Thanks Ross

Knew someone would know - obviously with a Wellington it was Bomber Command - just took a punt on CC. Mystery solved.

Hello all. Bernard Basil or Bobby as he was called was my great uncle. I have a photo of all of the crew, my uncle was the second pilot. He was supposed to have been my grandfather's bestman and he was also engaged at the time to a girl called Peggy Cooke. He trained in Florida. This equipment failure/ accident meant the end of my mum's family name because my grandfather didn't have any grandsons, this was another tragic loss. If anyone is interested I can put more information together.
