If you google "35 Squadron Looker Rhind Connor" you ought to be presented with a result from a book on Google books called Final Flights:

Battle K9472 - Crashed in Pembrokeshire killing the three airmen dated 29 Oct 1939

This link may not work very well:

Stein - listed as Killed on Active Service in RAF Casualty Communique printed in Flight Global archives, search by surname or serial number in archives there.

His death is registered in the Huntingdon district of Huntingdonshire. He was aged 23 per the death register index. See freebmd.org.uk

    Suggests another training loss.

Goulding - we discussed him here before, not conclusive:
    http://www.rafcommands.com/forum/showthread.php?2222-Unaccounted-airmen-23-12-1940

And he is dicussed here also:
    http://www.yorkshire-aircraft.co.uk/aircraft/yorkshire/york40/p5098.html

Goulding is registered in Salford district, aged 25. Seems to be a late registration in January 1941, the death having been in late Dec 1940.

He is listed as killed on active service in Casualty communique.

The closest I can find for I G Johnson is a Irvin J JOhnson aged 20 in Bulmer district, North Yorkshire, which would contain Linton on Ouse.

    Cuthbert we discussed here before:
    http://www.rafcommands.com/forum/showthread.php?2673-Unaccounted-airmen-20-4-1941/page2

Since he is on the Alamein memorial, chances are he may not have been with 35 Squadron at all, perhaps 38 Squadron.

Thanks for all the feedback; very much appreciated as always.

I have a few more loose ends from 1939 - 1942 to try and tie up today so will get back with further names if I get stuck again.

    Regards

    Pete
