Default Canberra WT321 213Sq RAF Brüggen fatal accident 10.05.1960 Germany

    Hello,
I have been working a long time with the crash of the Canberra WT321 in Resthausen near my village Cloppenburg. The Canberra has crashed during a training flight on 10.05.1960 against the airfield Varrelbusch. All three pilots were killed. At the crash site I found many small parts.
I found an old witnesses who had certified the death.
The Death of the community Molbergen is now in the State Archives in Oldenburg
My question: Who can tell me the names of the dead crew.?

    Best regards
    Volker Urbansky

    if you use this link:
    http://www.hut-six.co.uk/cgi-bin/searchafm.php

You can do a basic search of the Armed Forces Memorial. use the search term '10 May 1960' in one of the search boxes

Three names appear for that date

    001 CROSSLEY , Peter Leggo +10 May 1960
    002 KEATY , John Frederick William +10 May 1960
    003 BRIGGS , Frederick Eugene +10 May 1960

All assigned to RAF Bruggen, I'd suggest that these are the three crew members

You can check their names on the memorial database.

    Volker,

A little more information about the crew appears in Colin Cummings' 'Category Five - a catalogue of RAF aircraft losses 1954 to 2009':

Flight Lieutenant Peter Legge CROSSLEY, 35, Pilot
Flight Lieutenant John Frederick William KEATY, 31, Navigator
Flying Officer Frederick Eugene BRIGGS, 24, Navigator
