    Default Peter Green Photographic Collection

    Hi All,

Can anyone provide a contact address for Peter Green please, I believe he lives in Humberside somewhere or used to, he often provides aircraft photos for articles in magazines, Air-Britain publications etc, Please private message me if you can help as I would like to use one of his photos in a forthcoming publication.

    Many Thanks.

I believe that Peter sold his photo collection to Key Publishing (FlyPast etc) some years ago.

    Thanks Dave,

I don`t doubt they`ll want some extortionate fee for reproduction rights :( It was the Whitley photo on North Rona that I was after, it did appear in `Aeroplane` mag June 2002 but is credited to Peter Green.

    Dave,

Have you seen this article ?

    "Wreck Recovery - Wartime Style
    Pomeroy, Colin A.
    After The Battle. No.68. pp.6 - 11.

The article contains a couple of photographs of No.612 Sqn Whitley V T4321, which crashed on North Rona. The interesting thing is; 'Except where otherwise stated. all contemporary photographs are from No.43 Group records "via" Peter Green.'

Might be worth chasing up No.43 Group records.

    Col.

Yes, I've seen the ATB article. TNA would probably charge even more than Key for repro rights!

Peter still has his collection ensconced in deepest Lincolnshire. Possibly what Dave is think of is the collection of Gordon Swanborough (that has some of Peter's photos) and was was bought by Key Pubs about 10-12 years ago.

Thanks for that Ian. So much for rumour, not to mention my faltering memory! Sounds like the presence of some of Peter's photos got him mixed up with the Gordon Swanborough collection. I'm glad to hear that he still has his photos.
