    Default Arthur G.H. ARNOT Aus.402840

    Hello All,

    Arthur ARNOT (RAAF) was killed ina flying accident on 31.08.42 while serving with No.1488 Flt (if I'm not wrong). Does anyone know which aircraft he was flying that fateful day?

    Hi Phil

    It was Lysander III, V9798, which flew into ground at Martlesham Heath.

    Arnot buried Maldon Cemetery, Row 61. Grave 95!

    Date of Birth Sunday, November 19, 1916
    Place of Birth Batlow, NSW, Australia
    Date of Death Monday, August 31, 1942 (Aged 25 years)
