Default Flt. Lt. Angus McLeod, 248 (C) Sqdn.

Can anyone tell me the circumstances surrounding the death of 49791 Flt. Lt. Angus McLeod with 248 (C) Squadron on 25 March 1945, please? Being a Coastal Command squadron, it does not appear in Franks' FCL, of course. Any information would be most appreciated.

    Thanks
    Steve

    Hi Steve,

From ' A Seperate Little War' by Andy Bird. Flt Lt MacLead and W/O Wheeley were shot down by two Fw190s over Vilnesfjord on 25 March 1945. No serial number but the Mosquitos individual letter was 'V'.

    Steve,
I've serial RS633 (Missing, presumed shot down by fighters 70 miles W of Solund); perhaps Ross could confirm.

    Regards,
    Henk.
