    Default Missing pilot

Anyone heard of or has information on Plt Off A.R. Gravstad. All I know is that he joined 607 Squadron in France, 16 December 1939 and departed for hospital on 4 January 1940. I can't find anything on him anywhere.

    Best Wishes.

1939 FlightGlobal and London Gazette spell his name as "Grevstad" Arthur Raymond with his number as 41580 in the London Gazette, I presume this is the same chap?

London Gazette 30 April 1940 states:-

    Pilot Officer Arthur Raymond GREVSTAD
(41580) relinquishes his short service commission
    on account of ill-health. 25th Apr. 1940.

    Hi Mark,

Thank you for that. I would say that's him. After I posted this I found he was a Canadian. The squadron records etc have him as Gravstad, could well be a mistake.

    Best Wishes.
