Hi Don:
Am thinking Jagan might have some input on the AIR 81 extract vs other sources and the note you suggest.
Also, as a process geek, I recently made a recommendation on the moderators' forum, inspired by your previous suggestion, that the existing prompt in red text to provide more clarity in a new thread subject line be augmented with a request to posters to: 'Where possible, please provide background and objective for your request plus the major sources you have already checked.'
So far one mod has given the idea a 'thumbs up'.

rob, Don et al,
I did the transcription / linking from AIR81 to the CWGC deaths. I know AIR81 is not infalliable , but its quite rare.
Do let me know if I need to correct the current linkage in the CWGC DB. I will do that. Eitherway pulling up the aircraft serial will bring up posts from this thread, so it will have pointers for folks intending to do further research.
I am not too worried about the POW DB as its still work in progress, and Peter is probably tackling it right now! and next update will take care of it.
Hello to all,
Thank you for your analysis.
Otherwise my first post on this forum about L5524 is dated from 2013 whereas the Aircrewremember's page is dated 2018.
Thanks again
Regards
Loïc

Jagan,
To summarize to this point, my feeling, based on the ORB entries and Loic’s local knowledge, the most likely occurrence was that the AIR 81 aircraft/crew entries were transposed and we should make the appropriate adjustments in the database so that Gulley is associated with L5524 and Beale and crew with L5437.
Sounds like Peter will be resolving the POW entries.
Would you endorse this, Don?

On the New thread notice, thanks, may well help members.
May I suggest, as short and simple as you can agree upon.
More like this, p'raps?
Please use a briefly descriptive title not just "Help" or "Info required". Please give a brief summary of background, aim, and any sources used.
On the AIR 81 L5524 vs L5437 apparent anomaly, thanks Rob, adjustment seems the sensible way, noting both will attract this thread as ref links.
Appreciate being asked.
Appreciate Loic's replies also, on a long dormant post.

Thanks, Don.
Jagan, recommend we make adjustments re L5524 and L5437 as noted in post #14. I concur with Don’s suggested revised text for new threads.
Robert.
