Failing quite badly to get the pre war 226 ORB (if it existed) trying to ID some 226 Sqn Battle incidents. I have from "AB Battle File" the following known 5 incidents
11 December 1937 Battle K7594 2 Crew Killed Sgt Arthur William Butler (Pilot) and Aircraftsman William Ernest Vincent. Aeroplane operating from No. 6 Armanent Training Camp, Woodsford, Dorchester – Report W581
22 March 1938 Battle K7623 crashed and was badly damaged in forced landing 2m N of West Freugh.
6 October 1938 Battle K7589 crashed into high ground in cloud, Plynlimon - P/O Alistair Lilburn MacEwen, Cpl. Frank James and A/C.1 Kenneth Adrian Clark killed
5 August 1939 Battle K7711 - 226 Squadron overshot a forced-landing and ran into trees at Weatheroak
17 August 1939 Battle K7706 crashed at Harwell
I also believe there was another 226 Sqn incident on March 6, 1939 when Flight-Sergeant Frederick John Percival and Aircraftman James Allen baled out of a Battle which had engine trouble. Pilot landed safely at Doncaster
and another incident in 1939 when Sgt C Hart and LAC Allen baled out of another Battle - which was landed OK.
Can anyone supply more infomation about any of these incidents? Or supply 226 prewar ORB or a National Archive link for it?
Many thanks
