Default F/L William Laurie LANG 72296, killed 27/10/41

    Hello everyone

Can anyone give me details for the loss of this Flying Instructor and his pupil, killed whilst training in October 1941?

There's a biography of him on the Christ Church College Oxford memorial website, including his pre-war RAF career, but the only details they have for the actual accident are that they crashed at an Oxfordshire airfield in foggy conditions.

    Regards

    Simon

All sorted now, thanks to our own Paul McMillan over on the 12 o'clock high forum.

He was flying Oxford I N6293 of 15 FTS which collided with Proctor Ia P6064 of 755 Sqn 1 mile north of Upper Heyford. His name is mis-spelled in the death register as Laing.
