I have mention of an LAC J Hood from the No.15 EFTS ORB, not sure if it is the same person though as there is no service number.

August 14th 1941, “Accident to Magister aircraft T9687 – Pilot LAC Hood, J., – overshot on landing at Kingstown.”

Hmm, could be as 'my' Hood was promoted to officers' rank on 24th January 1942. His previous serial was 1252849. Would not be his middle initials listed, though?

Normally middle initials were listed, and other entries in the same period of the ORB used them.
