    Default Halifax L9502

Does anyone have any information on the fate of Sgts. Cattran and Roberts (no initials I'm afraid) following the loss of halifax L9502 on 8th July 1941.

I can't find them listed as KIA, POW or escapees.

Any help would be much appreciated

    Regards

    Pete

    Hello Pete,

W R Chorley states both as POW. Looking in Footprints on The Sands of Time by Oliver Clutton Brock I can see that a Sgt K Cattran was in camp 9C and then a note to say he was repatriated in 1943 with a questionmark. For G Roberts from the same aircraft it has a note to refer to page 18 of We Act With One Accord (it says both were wounded and that Roberts had been Cheshires Nav.)

Hope that helps point you in a more fruitful direction.

    Regards
    Linzee

Thanks Linzee (and to PaulH for PM on the subject)

Based on information received to date I will record them as POW (Hospitalised) with no POW number.

    Regards
