Hi All, Very new to this forum. My Granddad passed away last week after suffering years of vascular dementia. I have researched from flight logs that I have of his but they are in poor condition. I do how ever know he was in late to the RAF and joined as a W/OP on 12th May 1944. I know he did various bombing raids over Germany in Feb 1945 (I believe in Squadron 57 in the Lancaster (PY612) (PY241) & (PY608) Pilot was named Palmer. I'm interested in knowing more information about the raids that were carried out. I'm not overly sure but seems he went to Sqn 179 after 111OTU training and I don't have much information of this time. He joined Sqn 210 in July 46 at St Eval and finished in the RAF there. I'm looking for any pictures of him in his sqn, pictures of any Lancasters that he flew in, any information so I can piece together a great story and tell this on to our children. Thanks for reading
