Default F/L Roy Horsburgh - Halifax II JB-786-G 35 Squadron

    Hi
Looking for any information on Halifax JB-786-G which was piloted by Sgt After with my father F/L Roy Horsburgh as Navigator. It was shot down over berlin 24 August 1943 with three killed - flak and night fighter. There is a brief account of what happened to stand-in WO Allan Ball that night in Middlebrook's "The Berlin Raids" pp 55-56. Allan survived terrible head injuries, so bad the Germans sent him back to England from S Luft III POW camp in 44.

There is a map of downed bombers in and around Berlin that night on p 63. Is there any information in the Nachtjagd diaries?

I would be grateful for any info at all. I have been trying to locate the crash site, a daunting task.
My father survived and was in Block 105 S Luft III and Block 1 Belaria.

    All the best
    John Horsburgh
