Default Spitfire PRU, 26 February 1943

Spitfire PRU Dyce, 26 February 1943

F/S Charles Ross of PRU, Dyce, suffered an engine explosion over the Firth of Forth whilst on a flight from 'Ulster' via 'Lincolnshire' - he refuelled at the latter but failed to check the engine oil status. He force-landed in a field in 'north Berwickshire'. All this from a local newspaper (?Berwick Advertiser?) cutting of 5 March 1993. Does anyone know the i/d of the Spitfire please?
