    Default Spitfire P7554 58 OTU, 27 May 1944

    This a/c is listed as suffering a Cat E flying accident on 27 May 1944, does anyone have more details please?

    Hi Keith,
    P7554 according to AB Serials book:

    234/Middle Wallop/610/61 OTU/58 OTU/53 OTU
    Engine cut, bellylanded in field near Kirton-in-Lindsey, 22.4.44, Damaged beyond repair

    Well this info does not fits to your request but... It is possible that the plane was re-categorized later from another damage category to Category E?
    Also the unit is different...
