Default 701164 Leading Aircraftsman Edwin William Henry Price.

The above Airman died 08 November 1946 and is commemorated at Runnymede. Does anyone have any information on his service and cause of or location of his death.

Thanks for that. That puts a slow down on my search as dates don't seem to match.

Does anybody have a thought as to the 'Flight 1' possible location or is it a general multi unit term. I have looked for possibles but have probably missed the obvious.
    Thanks

I think what was meant was Flight magazine in January 1941.
See the archive at flightglobal.com for his injury listing
    http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/view/1941/1941%20-%200049.html?search=701164

This might roughly indicate he was injured in sept or oct 1940.
Are you trying to link him to an incident? What dates dont match up?

You can get the certificate references for his death registration in Cardiff district, 1946.
    See freebmd.org.uk

Also appears he got married in Cardiff in 1944. At least someone with same three initials did.

Thank you for the pointers, I may be following the wrong lead but you have to follow anything when starting from a minimal information base.
I have a couple of photos from my late mother which I enquired about some time ago without success. These have the name Price on and show a Wellington with people around, the album entry said, Coventry 1941. The name Price crops up again in a bible as Eddie. Hence the search.
