Default RE: Air Gunner - 103 Squadron

    Dear All,

I was wondering if anyone has any information on a Rear Gunner on 103 Squadron called Sgt. J. H. Lyons - Airmen No. 1601238. He was on the squadron from September to December 1943. The squadron ORB states that he suffered frost bite on the Berlin operation of 2/3 December 1943. Did he survive the war? Any information would be most welcome. Thanks.

    Regards,
    Richard

There is no fatal casualty with that name/number so I believe he did not die.

The Appendix of the ORB in the month during which he flew his last op, or maybe the Appendix of the month following, will likely show him being posted away at the end of his tour and may give a clue as to where he went.
