Sgt. Roy machin 49 and 617 Squadrons

Hi All

I recently posted a request about a Sgt. Roy Machin from 273 Squadron (273 because 'MACHIN 273' was written on his kit).....however I am now sure that 273 was not the squadron number but the last 3 numbers of his service number and this Roy Machin actually won the DFM in February 1944 with 49 squadron.

I think in March 1944 he and his crew went on to serve a tour with 617 Squadron. Does anyone have the 617 ORB to confirm this?
