    85248 F/L George Richard GUEST Died 26 May 1945 age 29 Flyde Buried Doncaster

    Pilot 10 Sqn Whitley P4946 8-9 May 1941 Bremen

    A/c ditched crew P.O.W

    I'm wondering if he was repatriated and maybe died of his injuries ?

    Any help much appreciated

    Not repatriated according to Clutton-Brock.

    No other info obviously found

    Hello Mark and Colin

    In the England and Wales Deaths, there is a Death Registered in April, May and June 1945 list [June Quarter 1945] for a "George R Guest" aged 29, Registration District of Fylde Volume 8e page 686.

    Ancestry.com have a wee newspaper clipping says he died at RAF Hospital Weeton, Lancs.
