Administritive and special duties branch 1939-1945

Hi, i purchased some medals a couple of years ago to flight lieutenant George Arthur Peachey 122585 and all i can find out is that he was in Administritive and special duties branch? can anyone enlighten me on what his roll would have been please? One of his medal entitlements was the Africa star so would that have been operation Tourch?
