    Hello again,
    Would anyone know where this Spitfire pilot came from please. He flew with 611, 92, 80, 132, 602 sqns.
    Any help on his DOB would be a great help.

    There is a birth Q2 1922 at Gravesend

    Carpenter John O

    Mother maiden name Ostler

    only John O between 1900 an 1925 in England

    A gent of that name, John Owen CARPENTER, born 1922, died in Norfolk in 1957 per Death index and probate records. Ancestry.com

    Looks like him? Gravesend looks like a good bet for starters.
