Beurling sounds tetchy, as though he really didn't want to be doing the interview.
I know this might sound odd, but it's not really a voice I would have associated with Beurling...

Steve, I agree 100% with your observation: he clearly didn't want to be there and, although I didn't know what to expect, the voice didn't seem to fit the image I had built up. Perhaps it was his 'best behaviour' voice.
