F/Sgt John Craig was an ex 111 Squadron pilot who was killed in a mid air collision on June 2nd 1941 while instructing at 56 OTU.

Killed in Hurricane I W9114, which collided with another Hurricane, P3162, near Walpole St Peter, Norfolk.

His DFM citation from the London Gazette:

564573 Sergeant John Teasdale CRAIG.
Sergeant Craig has been in action with his squadron almost continuously since May, 1940. During this period he has personally destroyed at least eight enemy aircraft. His magnificent spirit has been of a high order, and he has ably upheld the fine work of his squadron.

Small addition. Mid air collision with Hurricane P3162 flown by fellow flying instructor Ivor Kenneth Jack Bidgood former Battle of Britain pilot, 213 Squadron. The two were thought to have been in mock combat and collided.

Yes, he's in there, local boy from County Durham. He did his bit in the Battle of France as well.
