    Default new site verses old

I can understand the need to change the rafcommands site.

I liked the simple, user friendly ,easy to negotiate, non wordy, non fussy, old rafcommands site .The best airforce website I have encountered with some very helpful, knowledgeable, members.

I don't find this one too different Anne, other than a staggering lack of offers for amazing prices on pharmaceuticals and other *cough* internet wares.

I'm actually enjoying the layout, functionality and operation of the new boards. But I was already familiar with the boards "Powered by vBulletin".

Yes, the format is the same as TOCH I think. Takes a little bit of getting used to but what a blessing not to be offered God-knows-what at every opportunity!

I've used quite a few boards with this format so know my way round them, nice and easy to use.

I think this new site is excellent, and totally admire the enthusiasm of those who run it. Given the vast amounts of offensive Spam that had to be dealt with I wonder whether I would have had the patience to carry on, but I'm glad you did.

Default bugs, or is it only me ?

    hello,

My first post on the new board, although I registers and visited when it became operational.

Is it only me or do other members have "bugs" when visiting the board ? My provider is aol and there are problems with "internet explorer" and the "cursor". I have to click on "ok" up to five times in order to get to a specific page. Quite annoying.

Will try tomorrow from the office to see if the problem is due to my (old) computer.

Thanks for any help (I'm no expert in computers at all....)

    Hi Joss,

I'm on aol as well, but have not experienced any problems. Whatever problems there are, are of my own making.

Personally I prefer the new style. I find it easy to use, probably because I'm used to the TOCH forum.

I hope most of the old members join this forum and help maintain RAF Commands as the premier forum for all matters RAF/CW.

    Best Regards

I'm afraid that without the benefit of TOCH experience I'm having trouble in finding my way around the new site

    Is there a "printer-friendly print-out" facility somewhere?
