    Hi.

Anybody point me in the direction of where I can see/obtain a photo of a Manchester from 106 Squadron at RAF Coningsby.

    Thanks,

You could try 'Friends of Metheringham Airfield'
    Westmoor
    Martin Moor
    Metheringham
    LN4 3BQ

It is where 106 ended up and they feature in the newsletter frequently. They also have contacts with a few old comrades.

    Default Manchesters 106

Bob Kirby's book ,The Manchester, has half a dozen pics. Some only showthe nose section or side sections. There are plenty of full sized pics of Manchesters allocated to 106, but not taken at Coningsby.

Default 106 Squadron Manchesters at RAF Coningsby

    Hello Michael

If you search the IWM Collections website with 'Coninsby Manchester' you will see:

1 - The well known photo of Gibson and 106 Squadron crews post 1,000 Bomber Raid which has a couple of Manchesters in the background (ZZZ 6965C)

2 - 3 other much closer up photos of Manchesters at Coningsby, although 97 Squadron ones.

    That may help

    Regards
    Clive
