    Default Lord Trophy

Can anyone enlighten me about the Lord Trophy c1950-60's please?
I have a photo of a team of winners but can find no details concerning this award.

If the Lord Trophy was only presented in 1957 then the TC (38 Gp) sqns/crews were competing for a similar trophy in the mid-50s. The Beverleys used to come out to El Adem each year and flog, low-level, round the bundoo (usually) ending up over the Memorial Cross in the Knightsbridge Cemetery. Don't know about the other bits of the trophy, but I was only ever involved as supernumerary crew, (and in the 70s) as DISTAFF/Judge. By then it was almost only marked on the low-level nav and para/stores dropping. I do remember, though, that there was MUCH skullduggery and underhand deviousness to put the other crews off!! I did my fair share of this!!

Still being competed for in the 1970s (http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/documents/collections/X005-596-LOCKHEED-HERCULES-XV202.pdf). As the link comes from the RAF Museum, that might be your first port of call.
