Default Wing Commander Geoffrey Trevor Wynne-Powell DFC

    Gents,

Looking for information and a decent photo of the above. He was an experience bomber pilot having commanded No.623 (Stirling's) and No.90 (Stirling's / Lancaster's) Squadrons. He completed this tour and went on to command No.620 Squadron ( No.38 Group ).

He was born in Toronto, Canada in 1915.

I am especially interested in his career pre September 1943, if any of you chaps have seen this officer's name during your research please drop me a line.

    TIA

GT Wynne-Powell has been discussed on this forum before, I think. Served with 199 Squadron.

His grandson is on the forum; I have been in contact with him.

You can look him up in the members section under "TomWP".

    Steve,

The London Gazette might help a little; his service umber was 90195. Last entry records his retirement wef 4 March 1958.
