    Default loss Oxford X7134 Empire Central Flying School, 8th July 1944

    Can anyone provide further details on the loss of Oxford X7134 Empire Central Flying School on the 8th July 1944? Circumstances of the crash and occupants would be most welcome.

    Hello,

    8-7-1944
    ATA (1 Ferry Pool)
    Anson I NK773

    Struck by Oxford X7134 which came out of cloud, and crashed, Robourne, Wilts.

    First Officer Wilbur Washington ACTON + (USA)

    2 killed onboard including pilot F/L B N Phillips 45884.

    Descended below cloud on planned route and hit ATA Anson NK773.

    Pilot of Anson 1st Officer B Acton also killed.

    if B N Phillips was onboard his death was registered in Chippenham district, page 74.
    Also on that page are Acton and the following
