    Hi all,

    ACW2 Lord was serving at 83 OTU, Peplow and died after being knocked off her bicycle, by a lorry, on the Eaton-on-Tern to Ollerton Road.

    Cpl Arthur Lowe was with 107 MU according to the GRO lists

    Flt Sgt Alan Lowe was with 221 Sqn.

    Hello

    Sgt.(Pilot) Ivan William GEORGE - RAFVR - 1559997 - the Graves Registration report form confirms his unit as 7 (P) A.F.U., and the National Probate Calendar also confirms that he died at Sibson. So likely to be Master DM356 as Malcolm proposed in post #4.

    AC1. Raymond John WICKS - RAFVR - 1873392 - the Dover Express of October 15th 1943 carried the following announcement:

    DEATHS
    WICKS - on October 1st, at the Hurstwood Park Emergency Hospital, Haywards Heath, Raymond John Wicks, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wicks, of 62, Buckland Avenue, Dover, passed peacefully away, aged 22 years. R.I.P.

    Mary Rose Cuthbertson 2097144 , an ACH/GD attached to TTC, died in the Belfast military hospital of pneumonia

    Arthur Lowe 746121 , attached to 107 MU , was admitted to hospital in Cairo for a minor procedure to correct absent supinator jerks on his bicep. At 14:05 hours he was found unconscious in the ward lavatory . Artificial respiration was carried out for 20 minutes but he could not be saved. On removing the splint from his left arm, 3 empty medicine bottles were found concealed , which were found to have been stolen and contained adrenalin , cocaine and hyoscine. . A post mortem found he had died of the inhalation of his stomach contents whilst unconscious as the result of drinking the cocaine

    Raymond John Wicks 1873392 , attached to Number 3057 SE , was admitted seriously ill to the West Sussex hospital, Chichester on 7 september suffering with otitis media. Transferred to the Haywards Heath hospital, he became dangerously ill when meningitis developed and was transferred to the Hurstwood Park EMS hospital where he died the same day

    William Herbert Dyer 1802412 , attached to RAF Hereford, was admitted seriously ill to the station hospital on 29 September, dying of acute nephritis

    Brian Maurice Casson 1381280 a RDF op and

    Raymond Walter Carreck 1449181 a RDF op and

    Reginald James Rider 1196269 a RDF mech

    All attached to 889 AMES

    Were travelling in A Crossley transmitter van and trailer Number WD 87037 along with 5 other Airmen when at 16:30 hours, 600 yards from the fork of the Babaouch to Ain Draham road, the lorry got out of control decending a steep hill and having reached 50 MPH on the second bend, left the road and fell 100 feet into a ravine. The lorry and trailer were wrecked and Dawson and Carreck killed. Rider was admitted seriously Number 3 general hospital along with the other Airmen, all of whom were also injured , where he died of his injuries
