    Default First name please

    Hi All,

On the 21/22 June 1943 an attack took place on Krefeld, one of the aircraft that was lost was Lancaster W4939 from 460 Sqn was shot down by a German night fighter. There was one survivor, Sgt H Thomson RAF, does anyone know his first name?

    Thanks,

    John.

Could you come up with a less common surname, John?

From AIR78 (worth a gander, mate)

    1230178 Sgt Harry Thomson

    Regards,

    Dave

    Hi Dave,

Cheers mate I guess it could have been brown or smith. I wonder if he is still with us? Very much a long shot I guess.

    Regards,

    John.

    John,

The Bomber Command Loss Card for this loss confirms number, initial and surname as supplied by Dave.

    Hi Errol,

Thanks mate, I picked up your 3rd volume when I was in Wellington last year. Great work and no doubt a labour of love.

    Regards,

    John.
