    INDIA
    BELL, Francis George - AC1c - 1688451 - the Newcastle Evening Chronicle of October 23rd 1943 reported the following:

    A.C.1 Francis George Bell, R.A.F., son of Mrs. E. Bell, of 27, Springfield Road, Winlaton, is officially reported to have drowned in India.

    Minor error in your HARVEY/HUNT entry. They were definitely No.301 Ferry Training Unit (not 310 FTU), as in my post # 7.

    Basil Thornton Cookman 1212798 , attached to 114 MU , was seriously injured in a road accident in Algiers at 02:30 hours, dying in Mustapha hospital

    Both attached to Number 184 Wing, died when they drowned whilst bathing In a static water tank

    George Griffith Marsh 641763 ,attached to RAF Shabiah , was working on a Hurricane of the Iraqi defence flight when the guns discharged killing him instantly
