Default BERT LAWRENCE GEORGE FULLER (Sgt), 215 SQN, lost 10-6-1942

I would be grateful of any information concerning BERT LAWRENCE GEORGE FULLER (Sgt), 215 SQN.

A message was posted that he was aboard No.215 Sqn Wellington IC BB514, lost on 10-6-1942.

I have acquired the Operational Flight Records, however the details are missing/minimal for the time in which the Sqn was operating in India.

I would be very grateful of all and any help that anyone can give.

I believe Bert Fuller was a member of the Royal Air Force Reserves.

    Bert Fuller was my grandfather.

    Thanks very much.

    Regards
    David

    Default Thank You

    Dear Col.,

    Thank you so very much.

Are there any formal records that I could review/obtain (copies) on either the flight/crash and, or Sgt Fuller.

Once again, thank you very much.

    Regards
    David

ps: By the way and out of interest; was discussing this over lunch with a colleague of mine. Turns out he is married to the granddaughter of Sailor Malan (famous Spitfire Pilot).

    Hello David,

You can view the A705 RAAF Casualty File of AUS404428 Lionel Maurice BENSTED, here:

    http://naa12.naa.gov.au/scripts/Imagine.asp?B=1054642

The A705 Files of the other RAAF men, are yet to be digitised.

l also recommend you obtain a copy of the following publication:

    The Ross Gregory Story
    Frith,David
    South Melbourne:Lothian Books,2003.
    ISBN 0 7344 0598 7.

(Gerald) Ross Gregory (Nav. on BB514), was a prominent Australian State and Test cricketer. Frith investigated the loss of the crew of BB514 (albeit, identifying it as B514), and his findings in Part Two, make interesting reading.
