Collided with Master AZ661 in formation and crashed, at 'Moreton crossroads', near Bletchley, Salop. Master AZ661* (of the same unit), was able to land safely at Tern Hill.

HALL, James - Sgt(Pilot) - 1342104 - RAFVR - Edinburgh(Portobello), Edinburgh - KOAS.

Killed as pilot when Martinet HN952 of No.1600 Flight crashed.

There are a few problems with the entry in Chorley for No.20 OTU Wellington X3362.

F/O J A Puttock was the pilot of Beaufighter JL773 and not on this Wellington (his nav was PRATT, Ralph - Sgt(Nav) - 1323245).
Chorley P/O A W Howl RCAF is correct but needs addition of Sgt C J Hole who is listed as No.20 OTU on the GRO Overseas deaths.

Sgt G F Smith as pilot is correct and F1180 gives 5 lost.

Have not checked the online Chorley for any alteration or update - only checked the BCL 1943 vol - are correct details now online there ?
But wasn't the Wellington X3662 ?
