Default Flt Lt J A Caldecott

    Dear All,
I am chasing a Flt Lt J A Caldecott (presumably(?!!) RAFVR?). All I know is that he was OiC the Met Det at 1 Svy Regt RA at some stage. Date given is 14 Apr 41. Don’t know if this was his Commissioning date, or his Posting-In date. Don't know where 1 Svy Regt RA was at that date. Can’t find a J. A. Caldecott (note ‘full-stops’) on the LG, nor do any of the few Caldecott’s therein apparently fit the bill! Mind you, the LG was not on its best behaviour this afternoon – maybe because I swore at it!!! Would appreciate any ‘steers’ on this one.
    TIA
    Peter Davies

I think the best candiate there is

    F/O (Sp) R Caldecott 74447 clearly he is not a F/lt

Seems to be Randolph Caldecott A&SD branch for Special Duties

    Terry,
VMT yrs. The Service Number seems consistent but the LG seems to alternate between Caldecott and CHaldecott!!
Another one safely in the database!!
    Tks again,
    Peter Davies
