Default Flight Magazine - Search criteria ?

Still being new to this research thing, what do I put in the 'search archive' box for 'Flight' magazine to seek a particular page i.e. I want page 1, 1st October, 1942? If I put in the month it gives me a spread of days, but I can't go back/forward, I'm locked on that page which invariably is the wrong one in October '42. I think I've cracked the name/location thing, but I'm just stuck on this exact search mode.
    Many thanks

    Default search

    Hi
I was able to search great initially, but recently I have had problems.
what I do is get the issue then alter the web address.
    for example

    http://www.flightglobal.com/PDFArchive/View/1943/1943%20-%200007.html

    is 7th jan 43 page 5 ,

    to get page 7

    I change the ..... 200007.html
    to .......... 200009.html

    slow and painful, but I keep saying ' it's free !!!!! '
    cheers
    Jerry

I've had this problem too, and changing the web address in the address bar is the only way I've been able to get around it.

    Cheers Brian

Doing a bio. of one of our village casualties who is recorded on p. 376 of 1st October, 1942's, 'Flight', namely J.A. McAULEY.
As part of the search I acknowledge my source of the actual extract of course, but in this instance I was looking for the heading of the front page of the magazine as a support to the extract. Being an amateur in these matters, and having done some presentations to 'clubs' previously, if I've only heard of/used 'Flight' recently, those that I may(?) present too in the future may not have heard of it at all like me, so I would mention the magazine as a source and show what it looked like. Just a thought.
Thanks for your interest, I just need to get to page one and download a copy into the file.

    Hello Stewart

The header page your looking for should appear on this web page, however the actual front cover for that weeks edition doesn't seem to have been downloaded.

    Kind regards

    Afternoon Brian

Many thanks. Received your photocopy this morning. Glad you put it in a sleeve, it survived very well. The postman was getting very, very wet today, as were his goods.

    Much obliged.
