    Default S/L JE Grindon

I know that S/L JE Grindon was flying as a flight commander with a 5 Group Lanc squadron between 5 July and 6 Oct 1944 but I havent yet identified which squadron, please can anybody help.

He was later OC 630, then 617 Squadron then the Kings Flight and Queens Flight.

    Thank you
    Pete

S/L Grindon was an instructor at No.34 OTU, Pennfield Ridge, New Brunswick (Canada).

I have his obit. from 2002, but any additional information on his service career would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Christian (pennfieldparish@yahoo.com)

There is a photo of Grindon in the book 'No. 617 Dambusters Sqn' by Alex Bateman (Osprey 2009)
