    The 4 UK casualties were onboard Hailfax BB326 of No.1659 HCU, their deaths were recorded in the No.3 (O)AFU ORB:

    November 12th 1943, “Aircraft BB326 took off from Halfpenny Green to return to unit, but crashed immediately after take off at 1315 hours. The aircraft burnt and all members of the crew, except P/O T.M. Murdock, J27606, were instantly killed. P/O Murdock was thrown clear and was seriously injured. Other members of the crew were: Pilot, Can R68379, WO1 Patman, G.K.; Navigator, CAN R154156, Sgt Fearneley, F.N.S.; Air Bomber, 132955, F/O D.C. Blair; Wireless Operator Air Gunner, 1318951, Sgt Fuller, G.P.; Flight Engineers, 1566236, Sgt Sharp, D., and 1036711, Sgt Gibson, R.T.; Air Gunner, CAN R129274, Sgt Ross, K.D. The AIB were requested to inquire into the circumstances of the accident.”

    Moore, Andrew - LAC - 1793079 - the Perthshire Advertiser of December 4th 1943 reported the following:

    R.A.F. Man's Death in India
    Intimation has been received by Mrs. James Hutton, of 3, Mennieburn Road, Aberuthven, that her only son, L.A.C. Andrew Moore, R.A.F., has died from diptheria in India. He had been in the R.A.F. for about a year and a half, and proceeded overseas about a year ago. L.A.C. Moore, who was 20 years of age, was born in Glasgow, but ha dfesided in Aberuthven for five years. Previous to enlistment he was employed with Mr. J. Lyburn, potato merchant.
