    Default Sgt John LOOK, 50 Squadron, KIA 2nd / 3rd Feb 1945

Does anyone have any details on this man please - how many trips he'd flown, what his history was prior to 50 Squadron etc.? It's another favour for someone who is helping me out on a 100 Squadron loss, and is for a booklet detailing each name recorded on the war memorial at Cannington Cemetery, Somerset. He was flying as the MUG with F/O Tarrant's (RNZAF) crew in Lancaster NG381 at the time of his loss.

As always, many thanks for any detail anyone can add.

    Hi Greg,
I'll have a look through the ORB and get back to you as soon as possible.

Alan - the raid against Houffalize on the 4th of January, was that a daylight or a night raid? I'm just plucking a few datils about each raid from Middlebrook's BCWD before I send them off to my man, and the Houffalize raid isn't mentioned at all in his tome. No daylights on the 4th save for a Hudson on Resistance work, and the big raid that night was against Royan with a nuisance raid against Berlin by the Mossies of the LNSF. Sorry to be a pain in the derriere, but any chance you could check the ORB again for me and see if it gives any further target details? Obviously, there's Welsh beer in it for you when I drag my campervan down to Cornwall next Easter :D Thanks Alan.
