Hi, this is my first time here. I am the grandson of John Raymond Harnwell and am looking for information regarding his squadron and exact place of death. The main info I have is that he was killed on a night training exercise and that his plane was Sunderland L2168 4 Otu. If you can help with any more information it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi,

Just saw your post from 2014 and noticed no one seems to have replied - are you still seeking that information?

    Hi Alex

It was "85 Years of South African Air Force" that I took the info from, as I couldn't find the other two listed on CWGC I assumed that they weren't killed and the accident cards had been wrongly annotated.
