Hi Henk

Malcolm
What was the place of death registration of P/O (Nav/WOp) Arthur W. FOSTER - 145762, whose name I couldn't find in Flight Magazine.
Proposed aircraft losses:
Beaufighter I - X7710 - 51 OTU - abandoned Apcliffe Quay, Ipswich.
Beaufighter VI - ND150 - 301 FTU - crashed in forced landing Rhuddlan Golf Course, Flintshire.
Master I - T8485 - 55 OTU - crashed on approach Burscough.
Additional question to our Canadian friends:
What was the unit and cause of death of AC1 Hyman BONDER - R/129606, who lies buried in London, Ontario.
Regards and thanks,
Henk.

Hi Henk,
From F1180
Beaufighter I - X7710 - 51 OTU - abandoned Apcliffe Quay, Ipswich.
Card shows no fatality or injury in tick boxes. However pilot Sgt R T Virgo, 131(8?)671 shown as Injured in line for crew. Back of card describes ordered R/O to bale out twice and received no reply. So possible Foster as well.
Beaufighter VI - ND150 - 301 FTU - crashed in forced landing Rhuddlan Golf Course, Flintshire.
Perkins confirmed as pilot and only fatality.
Regards
Ross

Bonder is not listed in the City of london on-line roll of honour, which suggests he was not a native of the London area. He does show up in a list of war time casualities buried in London cemetaries. It is quite rare for a serving military member to die in Canada and not be buried in their home town.
Hello,
CWGC has him as one of two who are at rest in the LONDON (B'NAI ISRAEL) JEWISH CEMETERY.

Hello
P/O (Nav/WOp) Arthur W. FOSTER - 145762 - the Graves Registration Report Form confirms his unit as 51 O.T.U.
AC1 Hyman BONDER - R/129606 - his R.C.A.F. records record that he had been discharged as "physically unfit for any form of Air Force service" on June 8th 1943. He had returned to Canada from the UK on April 4th 1943, arriving April 14th.
His R.C.A.F. Form R44(8) just states '"Died 20-9-43." He was originally from Kosnitza, Russia.
Regards
Simon
