Default Crash of Whitley N1438 August 22nd 1942

I don't have a copy of Bill Chorleys book on Aircraft Losses at OTUs. I have a WAG who made a flight with No. 19 OTU on August 22nd 1942, in Whitley N1438. He notes 'crashed' in the remarks column of his log book.

Does anyone have any further info, so far I've drawn a blank.

    Many thanks

Nothing listed in Chorley including the new edition.

Thank you gents for clearing that up. The note in his log book did not elaborate and so I get the feeling it was minor, like a taxying incident. But if anyone has anything more...?

As far as i can see, there's no mention of it in the 19 OTU ORB.

Fantastic Ross, thank you very much. I don't suppose there are any details of casualties, or the pilots name?

    many thanks again
