    Loaded everything in our AIR81 search DB. I am hoping it will clear some unknowns for October and November 1941. Not too many entries after 24th November.

    Hi

    You have not included Whitley P5044 (involving my Grandfather) in your list of partly Closed files, where only "PT A" of the file (according to the File cover) is at TNA, Kew, so one has to presume the other file Part/s with Minute Sheets are Withheld / Closed?

    I can see after the War the P5044 Casualty/Casualties were changed from Category FB to FA, according to the File (PT A) released.

    When I have classified the files I mean what is stated on the national archives website catalogue.In the case of Whitley P5044 AIR 81/2597 it says "Open on Transfer" see below

    Other Air 81 files are not marked and are closed until certain dates.I know nothing about their being other files about this or any other incidents. i.e there being PT B etc (assuming PT A (which I can see on the image) meaning "Part A")

    I am unsure what you defne as a Minute Sheet so googled it and came up with this UK gov document

    Paul, I got that bit about Namgyal and Dhairyam. Bit of a revelation for me. I was going by an account of a veteran at that time , Looks like I was way off! Dhairyam's Audax was K4852

    Time to re-write the story again!
