Does anyone know the status of this?

Hurricane P2976 242 Squadron
I have been making enquiries for several months with TNA, Kew and received photocopies of the following two files (in one TNA reference) today, below:-
ADM 358/230 Midshipman (A) P J Patterson, RN: missing presumed dead; aircraft lost at sea, 20 August 1940 Attached to RAF
Very disappointed with the lack of detail. NO 765(c) and NO AIB U610 report despite being recorded on the AM 1180. So pieces obviously MISSING.

It was covered in a thread earlier this year, including some comments of those that looked at examples.

All Casualty Packs added now in table format, and date and any corrections I have made
Hope this is of help. Will enable searching of this in future via this site easier
Hello Paul
Thanks for that. I don't know how you do it. I've been trying on Sunday afternoon, but couldn't only copy one line at a time, and so this was very time consuming... I mostly concentrated on the names that rang a bell, with a connection to my research area.
Indeed your valuable efforts will save a lot of time to many researchers, and I'll make good use of it !
Cheers

Hello Paul,
Thank you so much for this extraordinary piece of work. I cannot imagine the time and effort you put in for this. It is a great resource for many of us and will save us much time and frustration. Pity TNA didn't make it as easy for us !
One silly question ! What does ' ' stand for ?
Regards,
Martin.

Its a bit of internet coding. The coding behind the text. Its meant to indicate a space in the text but has apeared. Someone else might be able to explain it more eloquently. Pretend its not there in effect.
