No.1 AGS (India) Vultee Vengeance II AN613 - Dived into ground near Badnawar. Cause not known.

Vengeance AN613 and Vengeance AN759 both were new allotments that crashed enroute to Bhopal where 1 AGS was. That probably accounts for Malcolms post that they were from 320MU (Karachi). and crashed after being dispatched to 1 AGS at Bhopal/Bairagarh. AN613 was apparently the more serious crash. A Vultee representative arriving in Bhopal a couple of days after the crash to visit the crash site personally (presumaby for the CoI)

LOVETT, Anthony Simpson - LAC - 1806953 - his entry on findagrave.com records that he died "in an airplane crash into Roosevelt Lake (north of Mesa) during training."

UPGRADE to Maurice Edgar Webb R 182097, he died of carcinoma of the neck in the Westminster hospital, London, Ontario

No.125 Airfield
Born 10 March 1920 in Gravesend the eldest of three sons to Alfred Thomas Jones and Dorothy (nee Bainbridge) his two younger brothers were John William Jones born 1921 and Kenneth Warrington Jones born 1928
He was educated at Gordon School, Gravesend
Alfred married Dorothy Bainbridge in 1940 and they had a son Peter M Jones born in 1943, they lived at 69 New Road, Gravesend
Before the war he was employed by B. Marshall photographers
He joined the RAFVR in 1940 and served in a number of RAF bases around the UK - it was whilst stationed with No.125 Airfield that he was involved in a road traffic accident. On Friday 17 December 1943 Alfred was knocked down and killed on the Maidstone Road at Stockbury by a RAF lorry driven by LAC Henry Baron Dixon
On Wednesday 22 December a service was held at St George’s church, Gravesend and afterwards Alfred was given a military funeral and buried at Gravesend Cemetery in plot B16-1805
