    Moffatt was in Harvard AJ687.

...was back at No. 31 SFTS when it crashed at 14:38 on 19 December 1943. Crashed while practicing anti-submarine bombing at Milhaven Practice Bombing Range. Student L/A G.C. Hicks, RN and New Zealand born instructor F/O W.M.F. Moffet, RAF both killed.

Can anyone confirm the spelling of the last name?

Hemingway, Slade, Dingley, Fairhurst, Litchfeild, are all listed Died on Active Service
    http://www.skynet.ie/~dan/war/flight...nscription.htm

    Found Bell as
DIED OF WOUNDS OR INJURIES RECEIVED ON ACTIVE SERVICE.—A/C.2 N. R. Bell. published march 9th Flight magazine.
That would support an aircraft accident.

Aldous does not show up in Flight or Aeroplane, Wills Calender only says death 'On War Service'.

He was a member of the Admin & Spec Duties branch since 1942
