Hi , I confirm that P/O HBL Hough was killed at 54 OTU ,
The unit ORB has the following to say , 54 OTU RAF STN Church Fenton , 16/8/41, P/O HBL Hough & P/O JME Daniels were Both Killed when returning to Church Fenton in a Miles Magister , The Aircraft crashed in St Albans , at about 11.15 and was Burnt Out , it is Thought the Pilot was carrying out Low aerobatics when the A/C spun in and hit the ground ,

also from Unit ORB 21/8/41, a Court of Inquiry was Held re the flying accident in which P/O Hough and P/O Daniels were Killed .

Pm me if you need a copy of the relevant page from the ORB
