The crew of LN775 were not named in the 3 OADU ORB, but were named as given above in the Harrowbeer station ORB when the aircraft was found on the 4th March.

    Hello

    UK
    HARRISON, Harold - AC2c - 1596071 - the Newcastle Journal of March 7th 1944 reported the following:

Stockton R.A.F. man killed on march
After being in the R.A.F. for only seven week, Harold Harrison (18), of Wren Street, Stockton, was knocked down and killed by an Army lorry while marching in the Outer Circle Regent’s Park, London.
At the inquest yesterday Arthur Rattison, R.A.F., said that he was in charge of a flight marching three abreast and had given the order “left wheel” when there was a shout. The flight dispersed on to the footpath, and Harrison was knocked down by a lorry.
Alfred Charles Harding, driver of the lorry, said that Harrison suddenly appeared in front of him. He swerved but had no chance of avoiding him.
A verdict of “accidental death” was recorded.

    Regards

    Simon
