    Default C W Jukes 65 Sqn 1944

    Can anyone ID a C W Jukes from 65 Sqn in 1944?

The ORB Lists him as just C W Jukes - But I cannot find airman or officer with those initials on London Gazette or Air 78 (there is C W Jukes on Air 78 but with only 4 Numbers for his serial number would indicate RFC transfer for someone who joined up in 1915)

There is a reference to P/O Jukes with 65 Sqn in 1944 - Is this the same person?

    Thanks

I have the 65Sqn ORB from the beginning of 1944 and a F/Off C W Jukes appears on 10/8/44 and disappears at the end of June 1945. Given his interest in "Peterhead" it seems likely they are one and the same person. I tried to make contact with Mr Jukes after he made that post on TOCH but without success. I believe he is Canada.

I had seen that post - I was intrigued by who he was as I CANNOT find any "C W Jukes" in RAF Air Force Lists so suspect may be from Commonwealth

I have found a "Charles William Jukes" who went to Canada in 1925 aged two (which would fit the age band) so he maybe Canadian

Can anyone check RCAF records ??

    He was Canadian (J/26978) and went through 61 OTU (April-May 1944), 3 TEU (May-July 1944) and 83 GSU (July 1944).

    Hi Paul

I thought I had a grip on your particular research enthusiasms but can't work out why you are interested in Jukes?
